Unfortunately this was not the first renovation done to this hallway washroom. The shower floor was not installed with a shower liner, resulting in water leaking into the room and down to floors below every time the shower was in use. The existing bench and shower niche were also both installed with a surface sloping inward, further preventing proper drainage.

An entire gut of the shower area was completed, and the shower floor installed properly to allow full use of this space. The floor area outside of the shower was also re tiled after adding a schluter uncoupling membrane to stabilize the tile over the plywood, and the floor height was brought up to perfectly match the height of the hardwood floor in the hallway.

A matching river rock floor to shelf niche combo was installed, and the shower panel system adds a stylish look.
