An old Toronto home got a brand new main bathroom after completing this Weston renovation.
Anytime a renovation takes place in an older Toronto home there are bound to be unforseen surprises that need fixing once the demo stage of the renovation has been completed. This bathroom was no exception to this, but come completion it was a major upgrade for the clients in this home using the bathroom on a daily basis.

This bathroom was upgraded in many aspects, going from small tile and lots of grout lines, to bigger 24" x 12" porcelain on both the shower walls and floors with matching grout color for a modern minimalistic feel.
The need for more storage in the shower area for this couple was a major concern, so a big double shelf niche was installed with quartz border matching the 24" x 12" tile. Keeping with the modern minimalistic theme, while also adding some great accent elements to this shower is the textured tile strip three quarters of the way up the wall, with a shiny chrome shower faucet unit.

Thinking ahead with concerns of adding safety features to this shower, the homeowners wisely decided to add a grab handle and firm towel bar to the back end of the shower in case the need for stability assistance was necessary for them in the future.

Although small, the new floating vanity in this bathroom with wall cabinet was a big upgrade within this bathroom adding a lot of previously absent storage for toiletry and hygeniac items. Given the space within the bathroom and swing path of the entry door, the base cabinets of this vanity had to be altered on site with a custom made "L" shape countertop to add some essential previously non existent countertop space. With what has become less of a common practice for renovations in present day, a beautiful simple textured wall paper was added to the walls of this bathroom instead of paint, giving the room an elegent feel.
