Highlighting the features within this Newmarket bathroom renovation that give this newly renovated space its feeling of warmth and coziness is the new stained wood double vanity.

Although not being an ensuite off a master bedroom, this bathroom was given a double sink configuration due to it being the only bathroom on the main floor of this small semi-detached house. With this bathroom getting all the use in the home, a double vanity installation meant a big boost in convenience for the homeowners sharing this bathroom. With perhaps what could be considered the best feature about this double vanity is the fact that it is not actually a double vanity at all, but rather an old dresser that was refurbished and repurposed to be the cabinetry base of this unit. A custom quartz countertop with a similar pattern to the tile installed in the room was made to fit the dimensions of the base featuring a slightly skinnier cabinet depth then traditional vanities. Both elements added together provide this bathroom with a beautiful new feature at an outstanding price reduction compared to store bought units.

The color of this vanity works perfectly with the green paint chosen for the walls of this bathroom, complimenting the earthy tones of one another. The existing wainscotting in the bathroom was kept and re painted, and new crown moulding was added to the perimeter of the ceiling. These millwork elements mesh perfectly with the colonial design of the vanity base, and the Hexagon Porcelain floor tile match the shower wall tile for pattern and color.
