(Post Renovation)

(Pre-Renovation)

With the old shower being a source of water leakage to the floor below and a constant eye sore for mould, this walk-in shower was naturally the first thing to get ripped out and disposed of in this beautiful master bathroom renovation.

The clients using the bathroom were very content with the existing configuration, so the only problems needing addressing were the water proofing and updating of the look in the shower.  The base and PVC liner in this shower were completely rebuilt and replaced from scratch to fix the leaking issue, and the new shower base was built to feature a one direction flat slope so as to allow for the installation of the large 24" x 12" porcelain tile on both the floor and walls within the shower.  Installing a tile-in linear floor drain within this shower adds a great unique feature for water to drain, and the centered strip of mosaic on the control wall gives this sleek modern shower a touch of flare.

Giving this master bathroom a nice feeling of modern flow is the constant continuation of the same black 24" x 12" tile throughout the entire bathroom.  However a change in the tile layout to an alternating brick pattern of the floor tile was decided upon to create a slight feel of separation between the straight lay tiled shower and corner tub.

Taking this bathroom up a notch is the ability that both the tile floors and towel rack in this bathroom feature the ability to heat up, providing that warm luxury heated floor and towel feeling when stepping out of the shower.
