(Pre-Renovation)

The life span of the existing tub in this tub-shower had run its course, prompting the full renovation of this second floor hallway bathroom.

The basin of the existing tub had really become an eye-sore and potential health risk with a lot of rust build up, and the existing tile and low bulk head had this tub-shower feeling tight and unpleasant.

The old rusty tub was swapped for a new acrylic tub with the need for a tub being essential due to the presence of young children in the home. The bulk head of the existing tub-shower was removed for the benefit of the adults using the shower in the home, giving the tub-shower a much bigger feel and look. A new more powerful ceiling fan was also installed in this bathroom, which combined with the much more open shower greatly improved the ventilation of moisture in the room.

The new tile chosen provides a great new sleek feel to this tub shower, and the colour of the tile compliments the wall paint in the bathroom very well. With all the different shower products used between both the adults and children in the home, a custom double shelf niche was installed to provide some much needed organized storage within the shower while also acting as an accent piece to the wall tile.
